Hosanna In The Highest...

Today Christians all over the world celebrate Palm Sunday marking the beginning of the holy week and final week of Lent.

In celebration of Palm Sunday, Christians all over the world today recall Jesus' festive entry into Jerusalem after spending 40 days and nights in the wilderness to meditate on His imminent betrayal, arrest and crucifixion. He had arranged to use a donkey in riding into the city. In the book of Zechariah in the Old Testament, written "We see a prediction that king would ride into Jerusalem one day seated on a donkey."

It was meant to tell future generations that a King was coming, not as a warrior with a sword in his hand but as a peaceful, humble, just and holy King facing betrayal even by His own disciples and arriving into the city as a willing sacrifice for all those who believed in Him by suffering on the cross for the atonement of the sins of the world.

Christians will crowd churches around the world today, waving palm branches just as the crowds waved palm branches as well as spread palm branches along the road and shouting Hosanna, a Hebrew expression meaning 'save us' when they greeted Jesus arrival and followed Him into Jerusalem.

So..my dear brothers and sisters in Christ lets pray that the Hope that Jesus brought on the very 1st Palm Sunday will lives in our hearts and strengthen our Faith as we go through trials and challenges for He is the Alpha and Omega...King of Kings..He lives forever more.

Hosanna...Hosanna...Hosanna in the highest...

'The Lord GOD is my help,
therefore I am not disgraced;
I have set my face like flint,
knowing that I shall not be put to shame.'
Isaiah 50:7
