Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai made an exit....

So it's goodbye to Lil and Anoop. They are a good singers...have strong voices just not always the best song choices then again it's a matter of 'who got the votes'. Gonna miss their voice despite of whatever I comment on this two...I believe they'll be spotted by record producers :)

American Idol - 'Disco' Nite

Being saved by the judges last week gave Matt another chance performing tonight but for this week there will be two elimination....whooo...everyone is at the edge.

Tonight they will be performing songs from the disco era....'flash back'....I remembered the white suit John Travolta wearing and everyone is learning the Saturday Nite Fever dance steps LOL...me were not exceptional *wink*...I was a 'victim' to that era too hehe....the 'Travolta shoe'...'Travolta haircut' hahaha....

I was looking forward on how the guys would look like tonight....and...Whooooooo! Adam stunned me with his 'Elvis' look again...the hair...the suit...ohhhhh....he's a heartthrob! Can't wait for him to sing.

I can't believe Adam's rendition on this favourite number of mine...'If I Can't You'....Fabulous...Original and can't wait to download it hehehe Without his usual theatrics ways of singing...just his great voice....spooling smoothly the song is still a great one for me....ohhhh that sexy eyes...Adam is forever awesome!

When Seacrest announced Kris is going to sing the 'She Works Hard For The Money', I can't help thinking how is Kris going to do the song and it's Donna Summers'. Nevertheless...Kris rock it with his guitar....disco or not disco who cares...I love it. Another original performance ...he made another song his own...fantastic!

Allison really bringing it all out tonight, with a great voice to match her energetic performance.... especially when as she hits her strong final note....love it.

I'm a fan of Danny Gokey and glad his performance tonight is not a disappointment but it's just the same as all the other nights...a solid one with his 'sexy' voice hehehe. So...it's still okay...I believe he will be safe hahaha

This is all I can say about tonight performance...The rest???? Forgotten about their performance..

Mumsie is 48 Years Old!

Praise God for the gift of life and thank you Jesus my Shepherd and Saviour.

Being excited as I'm today I can't help being sentimental(darn!) which made me want  to honor the people whom I love and believed attributed so much in my life till they made me who I'm now as well as made my life colorful and interesting.

Thank you pa(may God bless his soul) and mama for bringing me to this world...thank you to my late nenek Korid(God bless her soul) for being the mid-wife and the first to receive me cum giving me the only one in the family with a 'siang'(Chinese surname) in my birth cert. Aha! this is the most interesting story of my birth history, my late nenek Korid is happened to be my mum step-father(who is a Chinese) wife...so she sort of nicely and beautifully recorded my mama name with Chinese 'siang' hahaha Guess those days it was not as strict as now, one need not include their ID copy for birth cert application. I liked it though...in a sense it makes me unique...at least in the birth cert *wink* and it did help me to get admitted easily in certain school hehe.

To my late grandmothers(God bless their souls)...thank you for giving me so many names. Guess you're wondering what am I gabbing about huh? Well...it's our Lotud culture to gave our ancestors name to their child so that they will be known from which family tree they came from, another way of looking at it, it's the same as using a 'surname' or family name and normally the name that will be chosen is from the child great-great grandmother/grandfather(depends on the gender of the child).

Guess I was the center of attraction at the time for being the eldest and 1st grandchild in both my parents side of the family...so I can imagine everyone is rushing or wants to take the credit in giving me names. For the sake of not causing any squabbles or avoiding arguments or even jealousy, my parents accepted all the three name suggested to me...love them actually except for one which sounds weird but learned to get used to it LOL. Ok, the three names I've which is only known in the kampung and not registered in my birth cert which I wished it was....kahangaklah the NRD dept. IF it was especially when it comes to putting the data in the computer system hehe...

Tahera which is my favorite and frequently used, Seliung and Gunting the weird one for in Bahasa Melayu it means scissor ...duuuhh! Then again at the end of the day, I was known as Julia and it was choosen by my dear dad. Thank you pa...I love you so much and still missing you.

God willing, this evening I'm going to have my mummy night out with my friends...thank you Daye.

See you all in the next post!

I hope this week nobody gonna bore me with a wannabe singing...duuuh!

Just a quickie here on tonight's performance.

I must say Allison 'blew' me tonight...love everything about her tonight...the husky voice...good voice control and energetic performance. So guess for me tonight is 'Allison's Nite'.

Still loving Adam hehehe....he never failed to perform and it was original it just that having set the bar so high for himself from the beginning, tonight's performance(to me..) is like in many other previous night...guess I expect to see something different. But vocally he still amaze me.

Strangely it may sound, Anoop caught my attention tonight with his strong vocals and there is something different with him tonight...can't seems to figure it out (is it the outfit?...) hahaha...don't want to work my brain overtime what matters I was entertained.

Love Kris sincere performance and my Danny Gokey sang pretty well....nice smooth tone to start with and he really soars hitting the chorus and as usual a sincere performance but still...like with Adam... I was hoping something more than what he gave tonight.

Having said all these(and I thought this is just a quicke post LOL)...it makes no difference in whatsoever way on what my opinion on this guys for 'its the American vote' that determine where all these contestants will be on the next day and at this stage of the competition I couldn't care less who will be in the final coz it's the rule of the game only two will be in the final.

Countdown to....

Two more days...God's willing I'm 'confirmed' 48 years old! I love birthday so much ...I treasured it coz it's a gift of life and a sign of God's love for me.

Yessss!...I just love my 'age' getting older*wink*....Me? Well...I never find anything different in me as my age 'accumulate' LOL Except for this darn ailment here and there....hmmm...just call it a 'siren' for me to be more attentive to my health hehe.

Well...we leave that aside for a while for I need to work my mind a bit on where to 'mogurias' for it has been for quite sometimes since I've done it....Oh NO! NOT SOMETIMES but it has been about 2 years I've not been painting the town 'brown' (the color of my Long Island Tea) LOL. So, God's willing I'm gonna do it this Thursday with my girlfriends....in a moderate way of course, coz the next day is still a working day.....gee. Nevertheless...noting can stop us for making it happen...right ladies...ooops!...girls!? *wink*

Good Friday

Today is the Friday of Holy Week(second day of Triduum), and commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus for the salvation of man.

As we come to venerate your Cross Lord we pray for the atonement of our own sins and the many grave sins of our society.

" Glory and praise to you, O Christ!
Christ was humbler yet,
even to accepting death, death on a cross.
But God raised him high
and gave him the name which is above all names.
Glory and praise to you, O Christ' "
Phil.2:8-9

The Easter Triduum

The Easter Triduum - The greatest mysteries of redemption are celebrated yearly by the Church beginning the evening Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday) which is today and marks the end of Lent, and followed by Good Friday then Holy Saturday.

Holy Thursday commemorates Christ's Last Supper and celebrates Chirst's institution of the Holy Eucharist and commemorates Chirst's never-ending love for His disciples, most of whom would desert, betray or deny Him a few hours after the gathering.

In the Lord desire to show both the worth God ascribes to the humility of service and the need for cleansing, Jesus decided to first strip his outer garments and wash the feet of His apostles before partaking of His Last Supper with them thereby setting an example that we should love and serve one another in humility. It is this cleansing on the part of Jesus which gave this day of the Holy Week the name Maundy Thursday.

Holy Thursday is one of the truly marvelous days in our faith community. We celebrate the gift of the love of Jesus, given to us for our nourishment; given to us as an example of self-less love.

In our prayer today, we let our Lord wash our feet, love us unconditionally and we let Jesus be broken and given for us. We pray that we might be faithful to the one commandment of Jesus 'that we might love others in the same way that we have been loved.' ....another thing don't forget to go to church hahaha.

Clotted Cream Fudge

'My friend went for English tour and all she got me for me is clotted cream fudge candy' LOL...Don't be offended my friend...I do appreciate it very much. Your thought for us while you were having a great holiday with your love ones is as sweet as the candy you got for us hehe.

Yeap! It's sweet and creamy and I like that in a candy, furthermore, she told us that it was a hand made in copper pan...hmmm...that's something new to me, never eaten a candy that's made in a copper pan hehehe

So this is the Scarborough, Yorkshire Clotted Cream Fudge ;)

Hosanna In The Highest...

Today Christians all over the world celebrate Palm Sunday marking the beginning of the holy week and final week of Lent.

In celebration of Palm Sunday, Christians all over the world today recall Jesus' festive entry into Jerusalem after spending 40 days and nights in the wilderness to meditate on His imminent betrayal, arrest and crucifixion. He had arranged to use a donkey in riding into the city. In the book of Zechariah in the Old Testament, written "We see a prediction that king would ride into Jerusalem one day seated on a donkey."

It was meant to tell future generations that a King was coming, not as a warrior with a sword in his hand but as a peaceful, humble, just and holy King facing betrayal even by His own disciples and arriving into the city as a willing sacrifice for all those who believed in Him by suffering on the cross for the atonement of the sins of the world.

Christians will crowd churches around the world today, waving palm branches just as the crowds waved palm branches as well as spread palm branches along the road and shouting Hosanna, a Hebrew expression meaning 'save us' when they greeted Jesus arrival and followed Him into Jerusalem.

So..my dear brothers and sisters in Christ lets pray that the Hope that Jesus brought on the very 1st Palm Sunday will lives in our hearts and strengthen our Faith as we go through trials and challenges for He is the Alpha and Omega...King of Kings..He lives forever more.

Hosanna...Hosanna...Hosanna in the highest...

'The Lord GOD is my help,
therefore I am not disgraced;
I have set my face like flint,
knowing that I shall not be put to shame.'
Isaiah 50:7

Top 9....Who is going home this time?

Here is the Top 9....Wuhuhuhu...excited to watch and of course you know whose performance is I'm looking forward to see hehehe

...

...

...

Yes! As always Adam didn't disappoint me and so did Danny...his heartfelt singing really moved my heart and I wished the song did not end that fast. BUT...but...Kris stole my heart tonight! Yessss...he made the song Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone his and playing on the piano...wow it's sound sexy hehehe...he really gave that favorite song's of mine a new breath ...like Kara say's Artistry!(Freddie King's version still classic to me...love the blues). Lots of artist sang this song in their own rendition...not forgetting the legendary Jose Feliciano and to me Kris made a signature for him here.

The verdict? Aha! Ain't gonna go to who will be the bottom three this time(though in my mind Anoop & Megan position are shaky tonight base on their performance of course BUT beats me what's in the mind of the voters).

My top three for tonight *wink*

..

..

..

and the answer is....'Megan' Yeap! Megan flew home... gonna miss her...her eye-catching outfits and her cute way of dancing...she's actually one of my favourite...can't deny she has potential...but guess she failed to show it then again she will be in the summer tour...who knows what would happen.
