27th Wedding Anniversary

We Praise and Thank God for His blessings and graces upon us throughout the years for without it our marriage would not have reach the 'age' of 27 years old and wouldn't be able to celebrate our 27th Wedding Anniversary yesterday and no aramaiti *wink*.

The life we shared together for the past 27 years has not been one smooth voyage but through these storms which we encountered we learned to build a ship that strong enough to face any storm, praise God! But as strong as a ship can be it still crack whenever it hits on a big and hard coral LOL but we learned to repair it before it gets worst or beyond repair...Repaint it before it fade wakaka(bermadah2 oh me kekeke) There were times we 'encounter' pirates for these we learned to sharpen our 'sword' and 'fencing skill' before one of us gets 'kidnapped'(hmmm...cam cerita Peter Pan pula)....naaaahhh there are no bruises and injuries laah hehehe....There are no better 'weapon' than 'Love and Forgiveness' *wink* and with God grace He blessed us with three crews whom makes our 27 years journey more exciting...fun...thrilling...adventurous...nerve wrecking...hilirious...tearful...unending laughter *wink* LOL ...Praise God!

I also thank God for blessing me with a wonderful, loving and caring 'in-laws'. They never make me feel like an 'in-laws' instead I'm one of the family the very moment I stepped in their house 27 years ago .... Thank you dearest all for accepting and loving me just as I'm(I know I'm not an easy person to deal with...infact very 'the complicated'....'hyper ' bah... hehehe) ....muaaaah.

We thank all for being part of our life, the wishes and wonderful gifts....We pray that God will bless us with many good and fun years together ahead...God willing!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary dinner with some of our family members last night at Chinese Cantonese Restaurant at Winner Hotel(thank Annie for introducing me this place). We missed the presence of our children, Audrey and Daryll ...wished they were with us but unfortunately they are working in KL and a moment like this, I wished they never grow up so that they'll never leave home...forever under our wings...how selfish, right? LOL

Oh ya...we were not only celebrating our anniversary last night but we celebrated our nephew, Nicholson 15th years old birthday as well...isn't that wonderful? I likkkeeeee....

Till death do us part....

Last Monday, June 1st is really a memorable cum sentimental day for me. I attended a wedding vow renewal mass of my biras(my bro-in-law wife) Lianah's parents at Holy Rosary Church, Limbahau, Papar. It's my first time attending such celebration and the great thing about it was, it's their 60th anniversary. Amazing! To make a marriage work for 60 years is not easy...it's a roller coaster ride hahaha. I'm deeply amazed...astound and proud to be a witness to such a beautiful and holy occassion of this couple who look beautiful and dashing in their traditional outfit :)

From what I gathered from the 'bride' *wink*, it was an arrange marriage(well...what is not on those days but still their marriage last) and she still remembered the time she was brought to her 'groom' house which was at 11am on Thursday. Can you imagine that? And it happened 60 years ago! I bet we can't even remember what the day or date or time the first time we have a date with our spouses or fell in love for the matter and we claim ourselves to know more about 'falling in love' or 'love' than our dear old parents LOL.

After the mass the celebration continues for their children(9 of them) gave their parents a blasting anniversary party...how sweet! It was so well organized and the enthusiasm and excitement were all over their faces...the children..grandchildren and great grandchildren...who wouldn't, right? Being able to give such to your parents is a blessing for compared to what they have done for us what we give them can't measure their sacrifices and love.

Grandchild No. 26

Time sure do pass very fast. It feels like it was only few days ago baby Luke birth brings excitement to everyone in the family(a good sign what! the 'Solungkod clan' is multiplying *wink*) and it has not wane out, YET we were celebrating his 'full moon' last Saturday...Ouinah! so fast ohhh...Foolish it may sound but I don't want him to grow up yet....wahhhhh...

It's a tradition in the family...guess in every family especially Kadazan-Dusun and Chinese as well(I think so hehe) that when a baby is a month old it will be celebrated and sort of introducing him/her to the rest of the families. So it's party time for the 'Solungkod clan' again hahaha and we sure do love it for this is the time where normally everyone make an extra effort to be presence and get together and since our mum birthday falls on June 1st we decided celebrate it at the same day.

Missing my poppets so much that I decided to flew over KL last weekend even if it's just for a short visit(can't bear the thought of leaving Gabe that long) hehehe.

Flew with Malaysian Airline *wink*...Of course we want to travel in comfort, right? Where else can we have it IF not with MAS hehehe MAS does have a competitive airfare now plus you're being serve well... they may not be perfect but a better choice (Ouisshhh...iklan abis ni! kekeke)

Weekend Getaway

Celyn Resort Kinabalu was our destination last Saturday for our weekend getaway. It's at Kg. Samuruh, Ranau and takes 10 minutes drive from the main road to the resort....about 500 meters of a smooth and hilly aspalth road and the rest is a bit rugged up to the resort. I find this place is a great place to retreat from my busy daily life even if its just for a day....kunun LOL...fresh air....surrounded by the greens and most of all a change of weather....relaxing betul!

We took a room on the Kinabalu Wing Chalet which is facing the majestic Mount Kinabalu(unfortunately it was covered with clouds most of the time) and took the upper floor corner which gave us the advantage of a better view of valley below as well as the rest of the surrounding....what a breathtaking view. Gabe was having a time of his life but we've to be on alert most of the time since we're on the top of a cliff and he is superactive and too adventerous at times...so we don't want any Superman or Ultraman or Ben10 drama hahaha.

Having said all the beautiful and perfect scene, I'm gonna touch on the tiny mini faults; Shortage of water, but, don't worry they provide a huge pail for you to store water hahaha and we experienced twice power failure which took about few hours to restore(once during the night and in the morning) BUT it didn't spoil our 'holiday' no ain't complaining....just 'relating' *wink*

We went home at 10am on Sunday.

American Idol Season 8 Finalist

Snippets: Adam Lamber, Kris Allen in unexpected 'American Idol' finals, but Danny Gokey ends on a high

Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Danny Gokey are waiting to see who's in "American Idol" finals -- and the first person in is... Kris Allen! Wow, an upset --Danny Gokey seemingly had this spot all locked up.

Adam Lambert gets the other spot, and it's a great final two! Total bedlam, poor Danny Gokey -- he was never in the bottom three all year. I'm sure his fans are in total shock right now.

I thought he was pretty good last night, although I wasn't a fan of his all year. Sings "You Are So Beautiful," and man, this is his best performance of the season, hands down. So powerful, genuine and emotional; wow, what a great way to end.

Adam Lambert is of course the strong favorite going into the final two; his fans are legion and obsessed, and he's had the best performances pretty much every week. A lot of them seem to hate Danny and his fans, so they'll be happy for that reason as well.

Kris Allen's totally living the dream, he was the dark horse coming in, and his fans really came through for him last night.

And if what Ryan said is right, that less than a million votes separated Kris and Adam -- is "American Idol" setting the stage for an unbelievable upset next week?!

Simon says nobody could've predicted this, then says this could be "what we call a big ding-dong"? Is that really what he said?!

Congratulation to Adam and Kris...they deserve it! Not that Danny doesn't but somebody has to fill in the 3rd place, right? Otherwise it wouldn't be a competition. Danny you're my idol!

Who goes to final?

Adam...sends ladies 'Crying'

Vocal Master Class...'You're So Beautiful'

Authentic... 'Heartless'

After watching tonight's performance I'm wishing there will be no 'cuts to final two'. For me they all deserved to be in the final for all of them gave the best...they're outstanding and vocally mesmerizing...and they sang to win...love them all.

Am not going to go through on each of their performance instead I'm gonna summarize it; It was "Superb..Brilliant..Breathtaking..Vocal Master class(pinjam lu Simon:P)..Heartfelt..Hypnotizing.. Blasting..Authentic" Yessss! That is how it was...not that there are no flaws but who cares!...Pokoknya I was entertained and went gu gu ga ga cum 'glued' LOL And tonight show is the best for the whole American Idol season(for me lah).

Something about Adam that touched my heart tonight, his humbleness. With all the praising he received from the judges(except for Simon who is cool :P) he still thought of the others...which makes me adore him more(matilah berperasaan abis ni karud)...Mesti ada urang jeles ni wakakaka

Gabe's 'Mummies' dining out

Gabe's 'mummies'

Last night we brought Gabe's 'mummies' cum 'teachers' from his nursery for dinner for Mothers Day celebration hehehe...kalau mau bawa durang tu weekend tida dapat sbab durang pulang kampung.

They were a bit lost when we invited them out for dinner and tiba2 terfikir yang my hubby kena 4D pula(we wish LOL) When we told them that its a Mothers Day treat and by the look of their face they're 'lost in space'. Then my hubby explained to them that they're like a mother to our son too...well in actual fact they are coz for they spend 10hrs a day for 5 days in a week which is more than me, his own mother. And in today's world where almost families the parents works for sake of coping with the necessities or to make ends meet, they are more of a mother to these children in the nursery than their materal mother and as for Gabe he has been in that nursery since he was 3 months old.

I'm happy with this nursery(Stella Maris Nursery, Tg. Aru) and all their staff for they've done a great job with all the babies and children. They have been well taken care of in all their needs; health wise and growing development.

So, we brought them to dine at Upperstar Damai(cam tedada tampat lain gi hehe).

Our pictures taken with Nokia E71 ja hehehe
